This is a professional DAW for creating musical compositions in various electronic genres. The set of functions is impressive: a huge set of effects, drum machine, equalizer, controller, fast editing and much more. You can connect additional VST plug-ins, as well as combine several musical compositions into one.
What can FL Studio 20 do?
- Audio editing includes pitch correction, pitch shifting, harmonization, time stretching, beat detection and cutting, audio deformation, and the standard set of manipulations (cut, paste, and so on).
- Automation of most of the interface and all plug-in parameters for recording, drawing automated spline-based curves, automated generators with computable reference control.
- Work with DAW plug-ins as you would with VST or connect via ReWire.
- Work during live events in real time, including video effects.
- Consolidate and rewrite audio, including real-time audio effects such as delays, reverbs and filters.
- Multi-track audio recording up to the limits of the audio interface inputs.
- Recording and playback of MIDI signals from keyboards, drum pads and controllers.
- Sequencing and arrangement, both pattern and line process.
- Support for synthesizer and VST effect plug-ins 32&64 bit, DX and FL Native formats.
Sequence
Compose and record your music and ideas in the most logical way possible. Pattern or track sequencing. You choose which way to record your music and ideas makes the most sense. The FL Studio 20 sequencer lets you work with both patterns and tracks. You can either reuse elements (patterns) you’ve already recorded, or record the entire song from start to finish.
Mixing and mastering
The mixer has the highest precision, controllability and flexibility. Each mixer track can support up to 10 effects (in VST or proprietary FL formats). To create additional sub-tracks or track chains, each mixer track can be routed to another channel or to a Master track. Sends allow tracks to be sent for processing by third-party plug-ins. Finally, each of the mixer tracks can be routed to any output of your audio interface – now possible too!
Lifetime Free Upgrades
There may not be such a thing as a free lunch, but there are definitely “Lifetime Free Updates,” which are spelled out in the Image Line update rules:
“No need to re-pay for bug fixes! All users who have purchased FL Studio 20 are entitled to “Lifetime Free Updates” by regular download. Free updates apply to all FL Studio product level updates already purchased (Express, Fruity, Producer or Signature Bundle). For example, FL Studio 20 owners will be able to get an upgrade to the full-featured new version, and for free, of course.”
